Tool Library Launch, April 1st

Next month, on April 1st, The Making Place launches its first Tool Library! And we're not foolin ;)

Our Tool Library is the first asset of its kind in the Flathead Valley. A Tool Library is like a traditional library- members can borrow tools, supplies, and materials to support their projects. Through shared access to items, a tool library opens opportunities and helps foster a sense of community.

The Tool Library will contain our current inventory of donated tools, materials and supplies. We are starting with what we have and working towards what we want.

Our current inventory includes tools and supplies for crafting, painting, printing, textile Art, woodworking and more.

We want to grow our Tool Library to service the community’s wants and needs, which is why we launched a tool library survey this past February. Based on the responses from that survey, The Making Place has drafted a tool wish-list. We are accepting tool donations in our Tool Drive.

The launch of this Tool Library takes The Making Place one step closer towards building a makerspace for the Flathead Valley. Come April 1st you will be able to participate in this community-oriented resource by browsing the inventory, becoming a member, taking the survey or donating a tool!

Here's a sneak peek at our Membership options, launching next month alongside our Tool Library.
